Benchmark Factory for New Energy Battery Additive Materials
Nanjing Regal Polymer Co., Ltd. ("Nanjing Base") was founded in December 2006. Originally a Sino-German joint venture, it is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sunrise Advanced Materials Co., Ltd. The company boasts over 15 years of experience in engineering scale-up and mass production of functional additive materials. It is recognized as a National High-tech Enterprise and an Innovative Small and Medium-sized Enterprise. At present, Phase I automated factory of Nanjing Base is in operation, while Phase II smart factory is under construction and scheduled to be put into production in 2027.

The base is equipped with a nearly 2,000 m² R&D laboratory and a 3,500 m² pilot base for general semiconductor electronic chemical materials. It conducts innovative R&D in collaboration with the Shanghai Research Institute and Tianjin Research Institute of Sunrise Group. Meanwhile, it builds joint innovation centers and scientific research practice bases with the Yangtze River Delta National Technology Innovation Center, Nanjing Tech University, Guangdong University of Technology, and the School of Chemical Engineering of Tianjin University, realizing in-depth integration of industry, university and research.
Phase I Nanjing Manufacturing Base boasts an annual capacity of 50,000 tons of functional additive materials, with advanced quality control capabilities in the power battery bulk materials sector. The 32,500-ton smart factory for functional additive materials (Nanjing Phase II) is under construction to build a benchmark plant for new energy functional additive materials. It has obtained certifications including ISO9001 Quality Management System, IATF16949 Automotive Quality Management System, ISO14001 Environmental Management System, ISO45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System and ISO27001 Information Security Management System.
